Be more like flowing water and less like a drain stop.

It is about 9:35am in the morning and the studio will be open once again in 25 minutes. Just wanted to let everyone know a couple of things:
First: Since Brittney (our portrait photographer) will be away this Friday we have decided to extend her promotion of no sitting fee Fridays until the first Friday in October. That will make up for the missing week. 🙂

Second: As you know Evelyn and I recently opened up a new division within the company that concentrates on Commercial Product Photography. It can be difficult to juggle two different divisions and that is why Brittney (our awesome portrait photographer) has become a part of our growing company. I’ve had to learn how to step back a bit and just trust her skills and she’s made that part a little easier by her talent.

So, what have Evelyn and I been doing exactly? – Short story : (I have to open up store) We’ve been putting together a Universal Keynote presentation that we can alter depending on the Commercial Venture we are targeting. Basically, building templates to save us time. We’ve also been trying to figure out how to make our division mobile within a 30 minute window. That way we don’t have to pack up everything the night before which cripples our portrait division by lack of equipment. So – being in this business, or any business requires the ability to find solutions fast and that is what we are doing – learning how to be more like flowing water and less like a drain stop.
